Letters sent, 1898-1906.

The collection comprises three letters. Bell informs the organizer of the Arts & Crafts exhibition at the Gordon Institute that he cannot contribute to it as he has resigned his post in Liverpool and left the city (1898 Jul. 23, Oxford). The artist sends a thank you letter to "a brother painter who has a kind word to say" (1906 May 27, Upper Cross, Berkshire). He sends E.R. Dibdin at the Walker Gallery in Liverpool instructions regarding the return and delivery of his works (1906 Dec. 1, East Hagbourne).

Robert Anning Bell was a British painter who also made stained glass, colored bas-reliefs, and mosaics in the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Cathedral.
